AJ Styles will always be regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time because of all the things he has achieved in his wrestling career so far. 2018 was no different. He has managed to carry the WWE Championship for almost a year now.

He has defended it in all the pay-per-views and sometimes in multi-man matches like at Royal Rumble, he defended it in a handicapped match against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owns, and then at Fastlane, in a 6 pack challenge. He was involved in a feud with Nakamura throughout the summer, and though the storyline seemed a bit repetitive, they had great matches at Greatest Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank.
He has lost only two matches clean in a one-on-one competition this year and both were on Smackdown against John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura Respectively.
