The career of a WWE Superstar often doesn't go as planned. Sometimes, injuries end a wrestler's career before they want it to, and there are other instances where performers just fail to connect with fans.
John Cena announced at Money in the Bank that his in-ring career would end in 2025. The Cenation Leader will probably still have a role in the company once his time in the ring has come to an end, and the same can be said for a bunch of talent on the roster.
Below are six current WWE stars who have quietly retired from the ring.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
#6. Wade Barrett currently calls the action on RAW
Wade Barrett was once the leader of the Nexus faction and had an impressive career as a WWE Superstar. The veteran captured the Intercontinental Championship five times and is a former King of the Ring winner in 2015.
Barrett has not competed in a match since the RAW after WrestleMania 32 in 2016. He currently works as a commentator alongside Joe Tessitore on WWE RAW.
#5. Bobby Roode now works as a producer for WWE
Bobby Roode established himself as a star in TNA Wrestling before signing with WWE in 2016. He captured the NXT Championship during his time in the promotion and won the United States Championship on the main roster.
Roode was also part of a popular tag team with former WWE star Dolph Ziggler known as The Dirty Dawgz. The former champion has not competed in a match since losing to Omos at a live event in 2022. The 48-year-old currently works behind the scenes in the promotion as a producer.
#4. Tamina was removed from the company's active roster
Tamina debuted on the May 24, 2010, episode of RAW. She was aligned with The Usos at the time, who are also her cousins in real life. The 46-year-old never captured a major singles title during her time in the promotion but did win the Women's Tag Team Championships once alongside Natalya.
It was reported earlier this year that Tamina was removed from the company's active roster. Last year, WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax hinted that Tamina may have competed in her last Women's Royal Rumble Match in 2023.
#3. Titus O'Neil is now a Global Ambassador for the company
Titus O'Neil had a memorable career as a WWE Superstar and perhaps is most known for his time in the popular tag team Prime Time Players with Darren Young. O'Neil also had one of the most legendary botches of all time when he fell under the ring during his entrance at the Greatest Royal Rumble 2018 in Saudi Arabia.
O'Neil was honored with the Warrior Award in 2020 at the promotion's Hall of Fame ceremony. He is now a Global Ambassador for the promotion following his retirement from the ring.
#2. Ava is now the General Manager of NXT
Ava, formerly known as Ava Raine, was part of Joe Gacy's Schism faction in NXT. She is the daughter of The Rock, who made his stunning return earlier this month following the main event of Bad Blood.
The 23-year-old competed in six matches for the promotion last year. However, William Regal appointed her as the new General Manager of NXT earlier this year, and Ava has not returned to the ring since.
#1. Jason Jordan's in-ring career got cut short by injuries
Jason Jordan and Chad Gable were once in a tag team known as American Alpha and the duo captured the NXT Tag Team Championships. The promotion attempted to push Jordan as a singles star by introducing him as Kurt Angle's long-lost son in 2017.
Unfortunately, Jordan's in-ring career was over a year later due to a neck injury at 29 years old. He has not competed in a match since Royal Rumble 2018 and is now a backstage producer for the company.
