Like Asuka, Bayley has been one of the cornerstones of the women's division over the past few years. Also like Asuka, The Role Model has been out of action since July after suffering an injury. The incident happened as she was preparing for her match against Bianca Belair at the Money in the Bank premium live event.
According to reports, Bayley was training with another superstar when her knee popped. The company later confirmed that the former SmackDown Women's Champion had suffered a torn ACL and would be out of action for at least nine months.

Some fans expected Bayley to return at the 2022 Royal Rumble. However, she did not. The Role Model later addressed her absence by posting a photo of herself sipping a drink while watching the event on Twitter.
"What I want doesn’t even exist yet," Bayley wrote in the caption.
Before being injured, Bayley was a regular competitor on SmackDown. However, she is now a free agent after going undrafted in the 2021 Draft last October. The Role Model recently hinted at returning to face Rhea Ripley, who is currently on the RAW roster.
