1: The Fabulous Moolah
Of course, I couldn’t forget the woman who started it all. Technically, Moolah has eight reigns with the Championship dating all the way back to 1956 when she was the inaugural Women’s Champion. That was when it was the NWA World Women’s Championship until being branded as the WWF Women’s Championship in 1983 when Moolah signed with the company.
Moolah would cause drama in 1985 when she was masked as The Spider Lady, resulting in what is called the original screwjob against Wendi Richter. In addition to eight reigns, Moolah has a combined total of over 10,000 days holding the Championship and is the oldest Women’s Champion, when she won in 1999 at the age of 76.
