#1 Edge

Edge was one of the most sought-after WWE Superstars and reigned supreme in the 2000s until his untimely retirement in 2011. He was only 37 at the time. With that being said, he has since found success after guest-starring in television shows like The Flash and Vikings.
Recently, The Rated R Superstar made an appearance at SummerSlam where he speared Elias during the kickoff show. The audience gave him a rousing reception and it looked like he hadn't missed a single beat since he left.

While some fans may still miss Edge spearing through his opponents, they may not need to anymore. According to recent reports, it could be possible that he might end up as a surprise entrant in the WWE Royal Rumble 2020. It was also reported back in October that Edge might have met with Dr. Joseph Maroon, the head of WWE's Medical Center in Pittsburgh.
This could mean that they're testing him for in-ring action and whether he can take those bumps in the ring if needed. Edge is now 46 but seems to have kept himself in great shape.
But is the rumored Royal Rumble return a step towards having a full-blown match down the line? In the world of professional wrestling, nothing is real until it actually happens.
