WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. While many people forget about their roots once they become famous, The Rock has proven to be different from the rest.

The Rock recently recalled the time when Harvey Whippleman (aka Downtown Bruno) helped him out when he was just starting out. Whippleman went out of his way to give the legendary Superstar a place to stay, and the two ended up sharing a beautiful friendship.

The Rock decided to pay back his old friend by gifting him something special for Christmas in 2020. Whippleman helped The Rock get his first car, and the Superstar surprised him by gifting him a truck in return.

“And hell, when I was 15-yrs old, Bruno even gave me his last $40 bucks so I could hustle a crackhead out of his car one night at a honky-tonk in Nashville.”

“Merry Christmas, Bruno and since you helped me “buy” my first car - I figured I could return the favor and buy you one that 100% does NOT have a crackhead in the back seat.”

The WWE Superstar posted a touching video of the moment he gifted Whippleman the truck in order to pay him back for his kindness. Exchanges of kindness from wrestling stars like this help remind fans that the faces they see on television are people, too. In this case, they are very good people.
