Vince McMahon is 73, and sooner or later he is going to retire. Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H, will become the next boss of WWE. Like every new boss, he will make a few operational and strategic changes to the functioning of the company to fit his vision.
The 14-time world champion has already proven his leadership and management acumen, evident in the success and critical acclaim NXT has garnered - some argue that the yellow brand is superior to the two main roster shows. Triple H is open-minded, so he will make some positive changes once he is at the helm of the biggest professional wrestling company in the world.
#6 Better match quality
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
Most WWE Network subscribers consider it fact that the NXT Takeover shows are far better than anything on the main roster. Any avid watcher of WWE's developmental brand can vouch for the fact that almost every NXT call-up ceases having top quality matches as soon as they move to the main roster.
However, with Triple H running the show, the focus will shift to the in-ring action. This will make television shows and main roster pay-per-views a lot easier to watch.
#5 The word "Wrestling" will be promoted
WWE stands for World Wrestling Entertainment, but Vince McMahon has clearly instructed that his performers should be referred to as WWE Superstars. He hates the word 'Wrestling', despite the fact that the biggest show of the company is called WrestleMania.
Triple H, on the other hand, is not averse to being called a professional wrestler. Once he takes over, this trend will soon change. The word 'sports-entertainment' will also be dropped as no one else uses it besides the current Chairman; other wrestlers only use it when they are instructed by Vince.
#4 Protecting champions at every level
In recent times, WWE has been unable to protect their champions, especially those who hold secondary titles such as the United States and Intercontinental Championship. It seems that the company is keen to have their champions get beaten in non-title matches.
With the emergence of Triple H, this will definitely change. He has done an exemplary job at protecting champions in NXT, and made them look strong. This will definitely continue when he is in charge of the main roster.
#3 Standard of commentary would improve
Another great thing about NXT shows is the fact that the quality of commentary is better than the commentary on the main roster. Mauro Ranallo and his co-commentators do a good job of calling the action. There have been moments when the NXT commentary crew has been subject to the influence of the production team, but listening to it over so many years has made us realize they are not constantly bothered by their producer.
The realistic nature of the commentary makes it more engaging. Triple H would ensure that the standard of the commentary in WWE follows the same pattern as NXT. This will yield more viewership and money.
#2 Long-term planning
WWE has been running for ages, but one weird thing which stands out is the fact that there is no long-term planning for anyone. It may seem like a wrestler is having a good run for a few weeks, but all of a sudden, their roles and character changes without any intimation or explanation. Vince is known to be finicky, prone to constantly change his mind. This makes it very difficult for the company to implement any long-term strategy.
Triple H is very detail-oriented and strategic in his vision. Once he becomes the Chairman, long-term booking will be a larger factor in storylines.
#1 Win and losses will matter
WWE has done an abysmal job at making wins and losses matter. They have constantly ignored the results of their own matches. Some of the highest ranking producers have publicly stated that wins and losses do not matter in WWE. This approach will have to be eliminated to take the company forward.
In NXT, wins and losses matter. There is always a good reason for winning or losing, so this aspect will definitely be implemented when Triple H becomes the boss.
