AJ Styles got the best out of Brock in their dream match-up at Survivor Series

What other match did you expect to be here? Brock Lesnar's match against AJ Styles at Survivor Series, which pitted the Universal Champion against the WWE Champion for the first time in history in a non-title bout, felt like the only real match over the last 12 months that Brock Lesnar's heart was truly in.

Lesnar and Styles told an excellent story in the ring, with Styles outsmarting Lesnar at every turn, and at several times, making fans question what was, from the beginning, a very predictable result.

To think, before AJ won the title from Jinder Mahal on SmackDown Live, there was a point in time when fans had to face the very real prospect of Brock Lesnar vs Jinder Mahal. Thankfully, Jinder's reign of terror was brought to an end, giving fans that rare beast- a truly great Brock Lesnar match.
