WWE is gearing up for a huge start to 2025. RAW will finally premiere on Netflix on January 6th. The second installment of Saturday Night's Main Event will follow at the end of the month.

The Royal Rumble goes down on February 1st. One way to make each of those events memorable is to have surprises, shocking moments, and great angles leading to each show.

A cryptic teaser briefly aired during the latest episode of RAW. It looked a lot like a potential vignette for former AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo.

His contract expired early this month. If he is indeed on his way to WWE, he should have more success under Triple H for the next six reasons.

#6. New and refreshing feuds in WWE

While wrestling the same opponent multiple times can work due to chemistry, it can become stale and stagnating. Andrade and Carmelo Hayes wrestled seven times recently but wowed the crowd each time.

Penta has already wrestled a good deal of AEW's roster. Some new names have joined, but he hasn't been featured regularly in 2024.

Moving to a new company will provide many intriguing matches. Penta can battle Rey Mysterio or Dominik Mysterio. Tangling with Seth Rollins or the Wyatt Sicks could provide avenues for unique storytelling.

He can battle Bron Breakker, Gunther, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, or CM Punk. WWE has bigger names and the potential for blockbuster feuds.

#5. Penta El Zero Miedo is already a known commodity

Savvy wrestling fans already know about Penta El Zero Miedo through all of his name changes. Even before he joined AEW five years ago, the masked Luchador was tearing things up in various other promotions.

Penta and Fenix made their names on the US independent scene as well as in Lucha Libre AAA. The Lucha Underground promotion was essentially built around Pentagon Jr. He was one of the show's breakout stars and most compelling characters.

After that, he won the IMPACT World and Tag Team titles. The Lucha Brothers had match-of-the-year candidates every time they faced OVE and LAX.

They also wrestled for MLW before AEW. Wrestling fans know who he is and what he can do. Casual fans will soon follow suit.

#4. WWE has more global/mainstream appeal

No matter what Tony Khan may think or feel, WWE is still the top promotion in the world. It's been around much longer than the fledgling promotion and has had many decades of sustained success.

A lot of that success has spread across the globe to Japan, India, Africa, South America, Europe, and Saudi Arabia. There's a reason why it's called "World" Wrestling Entertainment.

WWE has also been the mainstream wrestling company for the last 40 years. When the average person thinks of pro wrestling, they think of WWE, John Cena, the Rock, and Hulk Hogan. Penta can add to that global reach.

#3. He has a defined character that could fit any feud

Penta El Zero Miedo's other path to success in WWE is having a defined character. He's honed his fearless Lucha samurai character for years and has his own "Cero Miedo" catchphrase.

It's a marketer's dream, and it will make WWE and Penta loads of money. If he was a collegiate athlete with no experience or feel for the business, it would take much longer to make an impact.

Having a huge profile in the industry will also help the seamless transition. Imagine Penta joining the Final Testament, giving it a main-event level star. Karrion Kross has worked with him before, so the possibilities are endless with a great character.

#2. He won't get lost in the shuffle of big-name free agents from New Japan

When AEW formed, the Lucha Brothers were one of the first groups to join the fledgling promotion. Penta and Rey Fenix were off a successful run in IMPACT Wrestling and MLW.

They had a history with the Young Bucks and battled them several times over the years. As the promotion grew, however, big-name free agents and WWE castoffs overtook them from time to time.

AEW added Miro, Malakai Black, Keith Lee, Toni Storm, Mariah May, Jay White, Bryan Danielson, Kazuchika Okada, and Will Ospreay. Penta and others were pushed to the background.

Triple H knows Penta El Zero Miedo's value and won't book him well for two months before forgetting about him. Having some leverage should also ensure a great position in WWE.

#1. Not getting relegated to the tag team tag division

For most of his run in AEW, Penta El Zero Miedo was booked in tag team action. The Lucha Brothers won tag team gold. He did have singles matches but did most of his work with a team. Alongside Pac, they won the Trios titles as Death Triangle.

Due to some injury issues, Rey Fenix is still under contract. Penta will debut by himself and start as a singles performer. The Lucha Brothers are one of the best tag teams in the world, but performers have more chances for success in the singles division.

There are more singles titles, and Triple H can book multiple feuds well at the same time. Breaking up the Rockers led Shawn Michaels to glory. The same happened for the Shield. Penta will have more opportunities to stand out on his own right away.
