6 Reasons why Ronda Rousey can betray Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 34

Will she do the unthinkable at the "Show of Shows"?

WrestleMania 34 will mark the debut of the former UFC Bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, in WWE. Her match is one of the most anticipated matches in this year’s event, where she will team up with Kurt Angle to face Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

Although it is highly speculated that she will win her debut match, there are strong reasons which suggest that she might betray Kurt Angle.

#1 The Epitome of Shock

This will be the expression of the entire arena.
This might be the expression of the entire arena.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

The former Olympians look like a dream team. It will be shocking when the “Baddest” woman on the planet will turn against her own mentor. It will be totally unexpected and will leave the fans in New Orleans gasping for air.

The majority of the fans around the globe are of the opinion that the “Authority” will taste defeat in this match. Hence, this provides the golden opportunity to the WWE to do the unthinkable and change the landscape on Monday Night Raw.

It will cement the fact that anything can happen in the WWE.

#2 Breaks Authority’s losing streak

Will 34 be the lucky number for the most powerful couple in WWE?
Will 34 be the lucky number for the most powerful couple in WWE?

The Authority lost to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 33, Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 32, Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30, need I say more?

In all the above matches, it was almost certain that the “Power Couple” would end up on the losing side. If the “Authority” picks up the victory this Sunday with the help of Ronda Rousey, it will end the jinx of predictable results for them.

Not to mention, in all the above losses Triple H put over a younger talent. However, Kurt Angle is a veteran who is at the dusk of his illustrious career. Hence, WWE can kill two birds with one stone if the “Rowdy One” turns Heel.

#3 A perfect heel

Her stare is enough to shake her opponent.
Her stare is enough to shake her opponent from the inside.

A furious look, devil may care attitude and raw power; what more is required to personify a perfect Heel character. Truth be told, Ronda could possibly be a huge Superstar as a Babyface but she can become a legend if she portrays a Heel.

In the last one year, Women’s division has come at par with the Men’s division in WWE with a steel cage match, hell in a cell match and a Royal Rumble match. However, they do lack a strong Heel character of this division.

Undoubtedly, she has the potential to be just that.

#4 Sets up the future

A dream match!
A dream match!

The wrestling world is buzzing with the predictions for WrestleMania 34. The odds are in favour of Nia Jax to defeat Alexa Bliss and become the new Women’s Champion. Who will be a better opponent for the “Irresistible Force” other than the “Rowdy One”.

It will be a great storyline to have these two face each other at Backlash, the next PPV after WrestleMania 34. Nia Jax will become the Babyface and the Olympian will be the Heel. As a fan, I would love to see this match.

Will the (future) defending champion be able to power her way out of the 'Armbar’?

#5 Spike in the ratings

The ratings might break through the ceiling!
The ratings might break through the ceiling!

If this happens, it will surely create a lot of stirs in the wrestling world. When it comes to the ratings, this can turn out to be the gold mine for WWE. At least for the next couple of weeks, it will ensure that millions of fans will tune up to Monday Night Raw to see a Heel Ronda Rousey.

The Undertaker, John Cena, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon and (probably) Brock Lesnar; all of them will become the dearly missed Superstars after WrestleMania 34. If she turns Heel, she alone can produce enough sparks to fill a significant amount of gap which will be created by the absence of so many star performers.

I dare say, it will be “best for business”.

#6 A new (General) Manager?

Paul Heyman might not be done when Brock Lesnar will be done.
Paul Heyman might not be done when Brock Lesnar will be done.

It will provide a fresh storyline for Kurt Angle. He has been taking control of Raw since the night after last year’s WrestleMania. A frustrating betrayal from his own mentee can force him to quit this job. Hence, we might see a new policy-maker on Raw, much like what we expect to see on SmackDown Live.

It is almost certain that Brock Lesnar will lose against Roman Reigns and will (possibly) leave WWE subsequently. In a shocking turn of events, Paul Heyman could become the new General Manager of Monday Night Raw. Or he might become the manager for Ronda Rousey. A Heel turn and a Heel manager, do I need to say more?

There will be a lot of shocking results at WrestleMania 34. Sit tight, and enjoy the show!
