#2 Batista and John Cena messed up so bad it broke Vince's legs
Everyone knows that the 1994 Royal Rumble had two winners - Lex Luger and Bret Hart. The fans did not like this decision. As a lesson, Vince promised never to repeat this scenario again.
However, this got replicated in 2005, when Batista and John Cena tumbled over the ropes and eliminated each other at the same time. WWE did not announce the winner instead Vince ran down the ramp and slid into the ring. In doing so, he tore both quadriceps muscles and could no longer stand.

He overcame the pain and instructed the referees and wrestlers to re-finish the match. Everything happened without a hitch, but the sight of Vince sitting in the ring motionless was truly embarrassing.
#1 Vince reigned supreme over his entire roster
Fans can debate over the choice of winner in the Royal Rumble for hours, but almost everyone agrees in choosing the worst one. In 1999, WWE decided to make Vince as the Royal Rumble winner. Vince and Steve Austin entered at number 1 and 2, fought for some time, and disappeared backstage.
Both of them came out during the final moments of the match with The Rock who made sure the Chairman was the winner of the event. Fans were enraged to see such a blatant display of ego during the height of the Attitude Era.
