#2. Big E cashed in on Bobby Lashley for the title

Big E won the Money in the Bank briefcase in the event's titular ladder match. Contrary to conventional sneaky cash-ins, Big E took a daredevil approach and announced his intention to cash in on the September 13th edition of RAW.

He was true to his word. On that week's Raw, then-WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defended his title against Randy Orton and incurred a knee injury. Mr. Money in the Bank entered after the match and attacked the knee before winning the title.

Big E held the title for 110 days and had a few memorable matches, including against McIntyre and Reigns.

#1. Brock Lesnar has won the championship twice in 2022

Brock Lesnar was scheduled to face off against Roman Reigns at the Day 1 premium live event in January 2022. However, Reigns was taken out of the show due to medical problems and Lesnar was instead added to the WWE Championship match.

The Beast Incarnate won the title without much trouble. However, he soon lost it to Lashley at the Royal Rumble, thanks to Reigns' interference and a betrayal from Paul Heyman.

In a rematch at Elimination Chamber, Brock Lesnar won the title back in one of the most dominating performances in the event's history. It only took the Beast a couple of minutes to lay out all his competitors and reclaim the WWE Championship.

Lesnar is now set to meet The Tribal Chief in a title vs title match at WrestleMania.
