Johnny Gargano has been a key part of NXT since 2016, and after claiming his first singles gold with the brand, it's clear that he's sticking around for some time yet.

Johnny's been involved in a major story with Tommaso Ciampa ever since NXT Takeover: Chicago way back in 2017, and this long arc still has not found its conclusion, and we can't see that happening within a few months.

Johnny Takeover has been stealing the show each and every time he steps between those ropes, and his character work is second to none. Unfortunately, that's the kind of thing that gets lost on the main roster.

Gargano also has some great dream matches left against the likes of Matt Riddle, Keith Lee and others, so no one wants to see Johnny Takeover leave just yet, and it's likely he stays in NXT until at least WrestleMania 36.
