WWE has a lot on its plate for RAW's debut on Netflix. Three huge matches have already been booked as CM Punk faces Seth Rollins in the night's main event. Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will battle in Tribal Combat.
Liv Morgan defends the Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley. Several big names could appear, including legends, returning stars, and debuting performers.
Triple H will try to pull out all the stops to make the debut one of the most talked-about events ever. WWE should avoid making the next six mistakes at the RAW debut on Netflix.

#6. Bloodline members shouldn't interfere in Tribal Combat
WWE made a big deal about the first Tribal Combat match in 2022. Jey Uso challenged Reigns for the Ula Fala and Undisputed Championship. The gimmick was supposed to eliminate outside interference but completely ignored that caveat.
Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa prevented Jey from winning. Roman didn't win clean or by the special rules around it but was still gifted the necklace. To leave no doubt around the finish, anyone related to either Bloodline must not interfere. If WWE gives rules for a certain contest and then immediately ignores them, what's the point in the first place?
It's too easy for that to influence the finish and likely protect The Head of the Table in a potential loss. Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, or another returning star could affect the outcome.
#5. Rhea Ripley shouldn’t win the Women's World Championship
Depending on WWE's plans for WrestleMania 41, Liv Morgan may retain the Women's World Championship on RAW's Netflix debut. She's led the division since June and has been heavily featured across all PLEs.
Morgan isn't a technical dynamo like Asuka or IYO SKY, but she nails her annoying heel character. Ripley entered and left WrestleMania 40 as Champion after beating Becky Lynch.
Ripley winning would essentially reset the division to its state in 2023. Mixing things up would be more interesting and potentially allow a different face to end Morgan's reign of terror.
#4. Don't overload RAW's debut with too many returns/debuts
With how WWE handled RAW's Netflix debut, several big moments should take place. Legends like the Undertaker or Stone Cold may show up to bolster the three big matches already booked for the show. Becky Lynch could return.
WWE has already aired vignettes for Pentagon Jr, who may debut at the show. The three big matches could set the stage for any other returns or debuts. WWE should also avoid having too many SmackDown stars appear unless they are switching brands.
RAW should feature its roster since Tribal Combat features two SmackDown stars. Fans don't need a random Women's Tag title match to get Bianca Belair on the show. Even two to three big names appearing may be pushing it.
#3. Becky Lynch shouldn’t return as a full-blown babyface
Becky Lynch is one of wrestling's most versatile performers. She brilliantly sells either heel or face persona. When the WWE Universe last saw her, she was a gallant hero trying to prevent Liv Morgan from continuing her revenge tour.
After losing the title, thanks to interference from Dominik Mysterio, her contract expired. She's been out of WWE since June. With things ramping up for the RAW debut on Netflix, The Man could be back in action soon.
When she does come back, Lynch needs a new persona. Her previous ones are popular and effective, but things have changed in the six months she's been out. The Wyatt Sicks are a presence, and Damage CTRL is a fan favorite.
Lynch could come back as a tweener like Stone Cold Steve Austin or Bron Breakker. RAW and SmackDown could use some reshuffling, but a full-blown babyface Lynch would supersede most other heroes on either show.
#2. Roman Reigns shouldn’t reclaim the Ula Fala
Along the same lines as Ripley regaining her title would be Roman Reigns reclaiming the Tribal Chief moniker and Ula Fala necklace. He had both for nearly four years and held things back from advancing.
Solo Sikoa isn't on Roman's level but has sustained the feud. Reigns appears sporadically, but Sikoa is on SmackDown every week.
He's already lost a few big matches, but a massive victory in Tribal Combat would make him a legitimate main-event star. Reigns doesn't need the accolade. Going back to the way things were before WrestleMania 40 isn't exciting or creative.
By losing, Roman would have to change and adapt to WWE's new landscape. The best ones can do both. So far, Reigns hasn't done either since returning.
#1. CM Punk's feud with Seth Rollins shouldn't end at the RAW debut
CM Punk and Seth Rollins should have a feud like McIntyre did with Punk. It needs to span a few months and PLEs and possibly culminate at WrestleMania.
After some killer promos over the last two weeks, they'll face off for the first time on January 6th. If Rollins wins, things will likely end. Both will go on to different pursuits that may include the Royal Rumble.
If Punk wins, it could easily set things going as needed. Rollins will be upset he couldn't erase Punk from the WWE. That could lead to a heel turn or the debut of a new group. A messy finish will prolong what could be the best feud to start 2025.
