The situation with the women's matches at Clash of Champions was interesting. Nikki Cross, Shayna Baszler, and Nia Jax were all pulled from their title matches as they weren't medically cleared, resulting in Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan having to pull out as well.

Asuka vs Zelina Vega got bumped up to the Clash of Champions main show, where Asuka predictably won and stood tall. What was interesting was the fact that she even stood in as Nikki Cross' replacement against Bayley, nearly defeating the SmackDown Women's Champion.

With two weeks left to complete a full calendar year as SmackDown Women's Champion, Bayley got herself disqualified to save her title reign. Immediately after, Sasha Banks returned at Clash of Champions and assaulted Bayley before the Champion narrowly escaped.

It's clear that not only are we finally getting the Sasha Banks-Bayley match, but it's going to be at Hell in a Cell, most likely inside the structure itself. Now that's a match that we can see headlining the show.
