For the third year in a row at Survivor Series, Brock Lesnar will be facing an opponent much smaller in size. Two years ago, he faced AJ Styles, last year he faced Daniel Bryan and this year, he faces Rey Mysterio.
It isn't an inter-brand match, but it's an interesting match-up nonetheless. For the last two years, Lesnar has had phenomenal matches at Survivor Series, being taken to the limit by both Styles and Bryan, both of whom looked great even in defeat.
Lesnar generally works a lot better with smaller opponents and if given the right time, they can have an instant classic. There's no doubting the capabilities of both men in the ring and it's ultimately up to Lesnar whether he wants to put in the effort for a great match.
Either way, this isn't going to be a 10-second or 2-minute squash match. They could have a genuinely good match where Lesnar starts selling heavily for Mysterio. Storyline-wise, it makes sense and though we won't be getting The Fiend vs Lesnar, it's still a great match to "settle" for.
