6 Things WWE subtly told us on RAW: Possible plans for Edge, Paul Heyman set to push Superstar

#1 It will be a while until Edge returns

Edge returned at the 2020 men's Royal Rumble, in what was a total shock to the WWE Universe. Randy Orton met Edge in the middle of the ring the following night on RAW and ended up turning on Edge, laying him out with an RKO before brutally attacking him with a steel chair.

Orton followed it up on last week's RAW by refusing to give a reason for his heinous attack.

Tonight's episode of RAW saw Randy Orton's promo interrupted by Matt Hardy. This led to Orton laying out Matt Hardy with an RKO. The Viper then went and got two steel chairs. He then placed Hardy's head on one chair, similar to what he'd done to Edge, and smashed him with the other chair.

We know that WWE has Edge for limited dates and selling this injury angle is the perfect was to use him in a limited capacity while still building heat for the feud. It looks like WWE are slowly building towards Edge's return and it could be a while before we see him.
