Former WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) has remained a major part of the company for decades now. After his incredible career in the ring, transitioned to the role of a commentator for the company.

During his career, JBL had a few major rivalries with Rey Mysterio. Recently, while appearing on WWE’s The Bump, JBL praised Rey’s son Dominik Mysterio who made his in-ring debut last year.

"I was blown away by what Dominik did, I didn't think that Dominik had a chance to win. Just because you are the son of one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time, that does not mean you're going to have the same success. Very few people in the world have been as successful as Rey.”

Not only did JBL praise Dominik, but he also endorsed him to become an incredible Superstar in the future.

"Also, this was Dominik's first match, and he was fighting one of the greatest of this generation. I just didn't see any way in the world that Dominik was going to put Seth [down]. I thought Dominik blew all expectations. I thought Dominik represented himself well, and he's going to become an incredible Superstar."

Dominik surprised everyone with his incredible performance at the 2020 WWE SummerSlam but has been receiving fewer opportunities ever since. Hopefully, his string of mixed bookings will come to an end soon and the Superstar will become a part of a major rivalry.
