#2. Roman Reigns survived again in 2018, but not enough
Roman Reigns entered the Royal Rumble in 2018 late into the match at number 28. The pay-per-view was revolutionary in itself because it featured the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match.
He joined forces with Rollins to take a lead over other Superstars. After eliminating The Miz, Reigns eliminated his partner. Instead of being infuriated, Rollins seemed to be impressed. This is one of the prime instances of "every man for himself" in the Rumble.

In the end, he was eliminated as the runner-up again. This time, it was Nakamura who ended his pursuit. Reigns became the first-ever superstar to end up as runner-up more than twice.
#1. The latest Royal Rumble for Reigns was in 2020
Roman Reigns most recently entered the 30-man match in 2020, at number 26. This time he eliminated only two Superstars, but one of them was The Rated-R Superstar Edge.
Reigns again managed to resist as long as only two guys were left, and finished as the runner-up in yet another Royal Rumble. Drew McIntyre was the one who completed the job to go on and headline WrestleMania.
Out of the six times Reigns has entered the Royal Rumble, he has only won it once. He finished third once, and has been the runner-up for a total of four times. Though he has won the event only once, it is astonishing that his worst performance was when he came third.
