#2. Franky Monet joined WWE after her husband John Morrison

John Morrison joined WWE in 2002 and competed in the Tough Enough competition. After working for nine years, he did not sign a new contract and looked for new opportunities.

After leaving WWE, Morrison met his future wife Franky Monet (aka Taya Valkyrie). They worked together in IMPACT Wrestling before marrying in 2018.

Morrison returned to WWE in 2019. In 2021, and the company also signed his wife. In an interview with talkSPORT, Monet clarified that she did not simply receive an offer from WWE because she was John Morrison’s wife.

“A lot of people love to assume that because I’m married to someone in the business that helps me get somewhere and listen, I earned this spot. Yes, John has been there to be supportive as a husband and someone I train with, he’s my biggest cheerleader, but ultimately it comes down to the hard work I did. Just because you’re married to someone doesn’t mean you get a job, that’s not how the real world works!” Monet said.

Her hard work took her to NXT where she had a few good rivalries. Unfortunately, her WWE career did not last long and she was released from the company in November 2021. A couple of weeks later, Morrison too was released from his contract.
