Gail Kim has been praised by fans and wrestling pundits for being a big catalyst for the women's evolution that has happened in pro wrestling over the last decade and more. Kim, who was previously a part of WWE, had great feuds in TNA/Impact and elevated the women's division.

But, it didn't quite go her way in WWE. WWE were still in the Divas era when she was in the company, which meant that she did not have the opportunities that the likes of Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch have had over the last few years.

Kim, who is now retired, has had her issues with WWE. She has previously spoken about WWE being racist, and also how she was treated when she was in the company.

In an interview a few years ago, she said that she would never join WWE again:

“I’ve experienced WWE twice now, and I know that I do not enjoy that place. The second time I really had optimistic hopes and dreams, but I know I would never go back there."

She reiterated that sentiment two years ago when she was asked about appearing at WWE's Evolution PPV:
