Kofi wins the title!
At last year's WrestleMania, Kofi Kingston competed in a Triple Threat Tag Team match, alongside Big E. The match ended when Luke Harper pinned Kingston to win the gold for his team. No one had the slightest idea that Kingston would go on to compete in the WWE Title match at next year's WrestleMania, and win it in the end!

Kofi's heroic performance in a gauntlet match on SmackDown Live kicked off a movement called KofiMania, which saw fans rallying behind the high-flyer and cheering him deafeningly on every occasion. This huge outpour of support forced WWE to change its original WrestleMania plans involving a returning Kevin Owens, and Kofi Kingston became the WWE Champion in one of the most emotional and feel-good moments in the history of The Show of Shows.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
