Though they have worked side by side together in NXT, the real life couple of Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae have faced off on the indies.

The first-ever NXT Triple Crown Champion, Johnny Gargano has done plenty in the world of wrestling. Even before he became the first man to hold the NXT, NXT Tag Team and North American titles, Gargano left a legacy for himself on the independent scene, competing all over the world.

It would be during his time on the indies, that Gargano would face off against Candice LeRae, whom he would marry in 2016. Below you can check out a fantastic match the pair had from Smash Wrestling, in which LeRae tried to take the company's World Championship from Gargano, and though she was not successful in doing so, Candice LeRae proved just how tough she is inside the squared circle.
