#5 Batista received some great advice from WWE Chairman Vince McMahon
Batista became the ‘Powerhouse’ of WWE during his prime in the 2000s. His alliance with two of WWE’s most seasoned Superstars, Triple H and Ric Flair, allowed him to amass a great deal of knowledge and experience that helped him later on in his career. However, The Animal didn’t feel right when he returned for the WWE SmackDown 1000 to plant the seeds for a match with Triple H at WrestleMania 35. He then turned to Vince McMahon for some advice during the show.
After cutting one of the best promos of his career, Batista was asked how he felt after making his return to the Blue brand for the show. Batista revealed that he was a bit nervous, and some advice from Vince McMahon helped him get through with ease.
"It was alright, it probably could have gone a little better, but I think considering how nervous I was. I told Vince how nervous I was, he said, 'When you go out there, just tell them, be honest and speak from the heart.' First thing I said, 'I'm nervous' because I was. I didn't want to pull any punches, I was nervous, man."
Everything went well during the promo and The Animal succeeded in planting the seeds for a future rivalry with The Game that went well. Even the most seasoned Superstars have turned to Vince McMahon for some advice, and the WWE Hall of Famer managed to get his final rivalry right thanks to the Chairman.
