Triple H once famously declared that if you're not in WWE to win the big one, then there's no point of you being there at all. Of course, that's a broad statement since not every deserving WWE superstar can win the big one.
In fact, if this statement held true, then WWE would be bereft of a locker room simply because they cannot win the big one. Even some of our big main event talent, who do make it aren't always remembered for being a special solo act that made it on their own feet.
More often than not this adage comes correct and turns some really classy main event talent into pairings tied down by their equal success in the ring during a period with one another or against one another.
So here are some six pairings of twelve/more superstars, whom regardless of their success will always be tied with one another.

Honorable Mentions
Before we get to the real show, let's look at a few pairs of superstars who are tied carefully to one another but didn't make the cut due to a number of logistical reasons.
Undertaker and Kane: Despite their individual main event success, Undertaker and Kane are tied down together by the virtue of their narrative. However, this is more so for Kane than Undertaker, because without the latter the former doesn't exist and not vice versa.
Lita and Trish: Always in constant battle with one another whether as valets or wrestlers, the two women were the revolution before the women's evolution ever began. They were first women to main event RAW and subsequently led the division in its darkest times with an epic friendship and rivalry.
Five Second Pose, for A Lifetime
In many ways, Edge and Christian are a prime example of a tag team burdened by the legacy of this tag. Edge after separation from his "brother" would go onto attain mega success as an era-defining star with over ten world championships and a host of accomplishments.
It was only after his retirement that Christian managed to win the big one as a consolation prize and feel good moment.
More importantly, no matter the success Edge attained as a single's superstar, he will always be tied back to Christian. Also, Edge and Christian are always doing projects together and we bet they wouldn't have it any other way.
The Women that made a Revolution into an Evolution
I couldn't decide if all four horsewomen should be on the list or just Banks and Bayley. The four horsewomen defined the NXT women's division and the subsequent women's evolution that has gone through the WWE. They elevated the competition to a point where women are now viewed on equal footing to the men, or at least will be in a short while.
Of course, it boils down to the four of them, but the main narrative between them at least up until NXT has been about Sasha Banks and Bayley. No matter how much the WWE botches that up, we've clearly seen they're at least willing to push and pull at that narrative thread and evolve it whatever chance they get.
Even though Sasha is known by casual fans for her stirring bouts against Charlotte, WWE will always run back to the well of Banks and Bayley. If not, they also have the Charlotte-Becky connection and history between all four to play with. Whatever case the women's evolution begins here and it will bind them for eternity.
Greatest In Ring Rivalry of All Time
Controversial placing incoming, Steve Austin and Rock are generation-defining superstars in the WWE. They are in many ways tied to it's most successful time during the Attitude Era. Then, how comes they're so far down the list?
For one Austin's greatest rival is someone other than the Rock and you can guess who it is. Secondly, although these two men may forever be tied as the faces of the Attitude Era together, whether one wants to admit it or not, Rock as Dwayne Johnson has gone on to transcend the sport and go beyond his legacy with Austin.
As far as the squared circle goes, these men will always be remembered with one another regardless of their accomplishments elsewhere.
Wherever Austin's name is taken, you can bet Rock will be fondly remembered and that's the bottom line.
Fight Forever
How can something as legendary as Rock and Austin be succeeded by this rivalry, that many of the WWE Universe have had enough of?
Well for one, Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn goes beyond just the WWE. The two men started together on the independent scene, in fact, their whole rivalry is detailed in a separate Wikipedia page. That's how vital it has been to the development of both superstars.
I'll just go through the highlights, like the other Canadian men on this list the two began as a tag team in the independent scene before breaking up after Kevin Owens (then Kevin Steen) turned on Sami (then El Generico). They both followed one another to the WWE, with all their history intact. Eventually, Kevin turned on Sami once again in NXT.
Since then the two were fighting forever, until last year when they reunited as smarmy authority hating heels. Eventually, it seems that Sami and Kevin will break apart again, maybe even go their separate ways. The one thing that won't change is that they will fight forever.
Hounds of Justice
Regardless of how far Roman Reigns goes in his career as the face of the WWE, no matter if he changes his look, gear and entrance music on the way; he will never escape from the shadow of the SHIELD. The same applies to his brothers Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
The three men regardless of their positioning in the WWE, shall always remain tied to one another and be known as the pillars of the current NXT era in WWE. These three men have developed as characters together and whether intentional or not, have in many ways transcended the conventional idea of what it means to be a good guy or a bad guy in the company.
Each one is bound to rack up multiple accolades on top of the ones they already have and end their careers as multi-time world champions and hall of fame inductees. Even then individually they will be icons, but together they will be legends and you can believe that.
The Feud With Attitude
No two entities in WWE will be tied together forever, more than Austin and McMahon. The two polar opposites created the most successful rivalry in the history of the WWE that saved it from near extinction.
Austin and McMahon built an unbelievable empire from the ashes of huge losses, with the most conventional rivalry ever.
The Blue collar Stone Cold was a made superstar thanks to the emerging villainy of McMahon. Even today these two men illicit a response unlike anything else from the WWE. Just witness their interaction during RAW 25. It's all you need to know, to realize that without Mr. McMahon there's no Stone Cold Steve Austin and vice versa.
