AJ Styles has held the WWE Championship twice

In the lead-up to Bobby Lashley's match against Drew McIntyre at Hell in a Cell, the WWE Champion teamed up with AJ Styles and his tag team partner Omos on RAW to face McIntyre and The Viking Raiders.

Styles and Bobby Lashley haven't competed in a singles match in WWE, and it's only a matter of time before it happens. The Phenomenal One is superb on the mic, which could result in an exciting battle with Lashley's mouthpiece MVP.

Bobby Lashley will have to go through several former champions like AJ Styles and Randy Orton to take on the likes of Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in the future.

It's quite clear that fans like Lashley at the moment and with AJ Styles being a good heel this would be a fantastic match-up. Going past AJ Styles, who has the behemoth Omos beside him, will only cement Lashley's reputation as a supreme champion in WWE.

Styles and Omos losing the RAW Tag Team titles means it's the perfect time for Lashley to feud with Styles next, perhaps to set up a match at next month's Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
