Sami Zayn might not be the highest on the totem pole. He's been the heel version of The Miz when he's been in the ring in 2019, losing almost every match. But what he does in defeat is make his opponents look great. Because of that, he'd be an ideal choice for facing Edge.
Another reason why a program with Zayn would work is the mic work. Both men are among the best of their generations on the mic. Zayn could run down another big name from the past trying to recapture past glories just as he did to the Undertaker.
Both men are Canadian and either man could call the other out for being a bad representative of their home country. I'm not sure that Zayn would be considered for a high-profile match at the Show of Shows, but he should be. A match with Sami Zayn would be safe for Edge because the former NXT Champion is an extremely gifted and safe performer.
Some people would want to see Edge face Seth Rollins, but after injuring Finn Balor, Sting and John Cena, some wouldn't feel that Rollins would be the safest worker for Edge to work with. Zayn is safe.
