#1 WWE Legend Mick Foley says The Mandible Claw belongs to ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt now
Mick Foley was one of the most popular WWE Superstars of his time. The Hardcore Legend was ready to pull out all stops in a bid to entertain the WWE Universe. His versatility and never say never attitude helped him become one of the greatest Superstars of all time.
Bray Wyatt seems to have taken a page out of Foley’s book, and has gone through a few different gimmicks during his time in the company as well. Starting as Husky Harris in WWE, Wyatt has seen himself adopt the ‘The Eater of Worlds’ gimmick and then transform himself into ‘The Fiend’in 2019.
Along with character changes, Wyatt has also changed his finishing moves to keep his gimmicks unique. Wyatt is currently using the Mandible Claw as his finisher which was made famous by Foley, and he seems to have the Hardcore Legend's blessings as well.
"I think it's nice to look at the show and see your fingerprints here and there," Foley said. "Where, as ten years ago when I left, there were a lot of people who had grown up idolizing Ric [Flair], and Shawn [Michaels], and Bret [Hart], and you could see that in the work. So now you have guys like Bray, who told me years ago, 'Look, I'm doing something in a rocking chair,' because he had gotten a rocking chair from an interview that I did for Randy Orton. You see it a little bit with Aleister Black and the rocking, and Su Yung, and Rosemary, and I love it; Sami Callihan doing the cactus driver.
"And so, I feel for Bray because you want a finishing move that you can do to anyone at any time. The mandible claw... is something that is all [Bray's] now," he added.
Wyatt has slowly become one of the most interesting characters in WWE today and The Mandible Claw played a big role in his recent success on both RAW and SmackDown.
