In 1997, Ken Shamrock began his short tenure with WWE that lasted just about a couple of years. While Shamrock never became a huge name in WWE, he went on to make a name for himself in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and other wrestling promotions around the world.

Shamrock was seen as a major heel during the Attitude Era and was a member of The Corporation. He won his first title in WWE by winning an Intercontinental Championship tournament. He defeated X-Pac in the finals in October 1998 to become the Intercontinental Champion.

Later in December, Shamrock teamed up with fellow Corporation member The Big Boss Man to defeat the New Age Outlaws for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

#1 The Big Boss Man: WWE Hardcore Champion and World Tag Team Champion

Both men became double champions following the victory as Big Boss Man was also the Hardcore Champion at the time.

They held the titles until late January 1999, after which they lost the belts to Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart. This was one of the few times when two members of the same faction were double champions.
