Seth Rollins could join his old friend's faction, Roman Reigns.
Reigns is in the middle of his most dominant run in recent history. Rollins is more than ready to face almost anyone on the roster, and would not hesitate to challenge The Tribal Chief in the future.

However, Rollins does not need to challenge Reigns at the moment.
The two superstars are very familiar with each other thanks to their past feuds and their time together in The Shield. More than anything, Rollins is after respect and is not stable enough for a run with the title. Joining Reigns' faction would give him a base, and he could then work his way inside the head of the Universal Champion.
Over time, he could push Roman Reigns away from Jey Uso and create a further rift between the superstar and his family. He could pretend to be Reigns' best friend and work together to protect his title run from other challengers.
After this, he could use the opportunity when Reigns finally trusts him enough, to strike. Seth Rollins' ultimate goal could be the Universal title, but he might head towards it only after weakening the champion from the inside.
