In the clean and sanitized world of WWE, Dean Ambrose was hailed as a 'lunatic fringe' but did nothing at all to prove that he was anything but one. I know that he has a lot of pomp and swagger as Jon Moxley at the moment, but to be fair, even the AEW character that he is portraying is a watered-down version of what Dean Ambrose could have been in the Attitude Era of WWE.
Female superstar says she inspired John Cena turning heel HERE
Imagine the hardcore battles that Dean Ambrose could have had with the likes of Mankind and Terry Funk. I have no doubt at all, that even though he was one of the more protected members of the WWE roster, as a member of The Shield, he never got to reach his full potential because his hands were tied in the current WWE landscape. Thankfully, he enjoys a little more freedom in AEW than he did in WWE, where he is the top guy at the moment.
