Vince McMahon is a shrewd businessman. If he feels a wrestler can run a division, he gives them ample opportunities. For instance, Chris Jericho made his WWE debut in 1999, and within two years, he won almost every accolade on offer - including the Hardcore, European, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Championships. By winning the WWE Undisputed Championship in 2002, he became a Grand Slam Champion.

We take a look at six wrestlers fans think are the winners of the grand slam, but they are not.

#6 “Stone Cold” Steve Austin

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Steve Austin is undeniably one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of WWE. The 'Austin Era' began in 1996 and ended in 2003. In seven years, he won three Royal Rumbles, five WWE Championships and had multiple Tag Team Championship runs.

The Texas Rattlesnake spent a lot of time at the top but cannot call himself a Grand Slam Champion. He was unable to win any tertiary championship like the European or Hardcore titles. His illustrious career would have been more decorated if he had won another championship.

#5 Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is often regarded as the biggest star in the history of WWE. It is another matter that he is not as decorated as other WWE wrestlers of modern times. During the 1980s and early 90s, wrestling was a different affair when wrestlers did not float between divisions very often.

Hogan was a six-time WWE Champion between 1984 and 2002. Along with Edge, he won the WWE Tag Team Championship - those are all his championship titles in WWE. Even when he wrestled for WCW, it was only in the Heavyweight division. With all his achievements, his name will never be synonymous with the Grand Slam.

#4 The Rock

They called him "The Great One," but he bypassed few divisions throughout his career. He started his career in the mid-90s as Rocky Maivia but soon gained prominence as The Rock. Despite his huge success, he could not win any tertiary championship.

He won two Intercontinental, eight WWE, and multiple Tag Team Championships which makes him a legend. The Rock belonged to a different era, but he came back for another run following WrestleMania 27. Maybe he can come back once again time to complete the 'Mission Grand Slam.'

#3 The Undertaker

The Undertaker is a legendary wrestler in the WWE. He won WWE and World Heavyweight Championships along with Tag Team Championship alongside Kane. Under his Big Evil gimmick, he also won the Hardcore Championship in 2001.

Like his fellow wrestlers from the Attitude Era, he never made a halt in every division before zeroing in on the main event. He fought for the Intercontinental Championship but never won it. 'The Phenom' is a future Hall of Famer who has never won the Intercontinental strap. Unless something drastic happens, this is not going to change.

#2 Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy has been a household name in WWE. With his presence on ECW, Raw, and SmackDown, he has won almost every WWE Championship. He began his career in 1999 and has had runs with both Tag Team Championships, Cruiserweight, United States and ECW Championships as well.

Many superstar wrestlers would dream of such a career, but fans forget Hardy has never been a Grand Slam Champion. When he was ECW Champion, the title was not a part of the Grand Slam qualifications. Given his recent return and better physique, he may become a World Champion.

#2 Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston is the hot topic in WWE at the moment. He has achieved a lot in both the singles and tag team divisions. He is one of the most prominent members of the current roster. However, Daniel Bryan and Vince McMahon took a jibe at him for not being able to win the big one during his career.

He has been exemplary as the Intercontinental and United States Champion, and his partnership with The New Day has re-energized WWE’s tag team division. Whether his upcoming stint on SmackDown Live could fetch him the Grand Slam, remains to be seen.
