#2 The Miz
2010 was an incredibly successful year for The Miz. He seemed to remain in the mid-card for the rest of his career, but the Awesome One rose to the occasion. The Miz began the year as the United States Champion. Shortly after, he began a pretty underrated partnership with the Big Show. The two would capture the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships from DX, making The Miz a double champion.
Holding three belts for a while became customary, as the future 8-time IC Champ kept on growing into one of the best heels in the company. He lost both titles within a month of each other, but bigger and better things were on the horizon. The Miz won the Raw Money in the Bank at the inaugural thematic pay-per-view and successfully cashed in his briefcase later in the year.
The Miz ended 2010 on top, as the WWE Champion. To technically top that, he became a double champion once more during his title run. He teamed with his WrestleMania XXVII opponent, John Cena, to defeat Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel for the titles only for them to lose them on the same night. This was likely one of the most forgotten scenarios where a WWE superstar held multiple titles at the same time.
