Mike Kannelis had a personal battle to overcome

Mike Kanellis may not be featured regularly on WWE television, but in the course of the past year from his debut, he's been through a lot. After debuting, he was around for a bit before his wife Maria got pregnant.

During the time, WWE also gave Mike Kanellis time off to deal with his personal addiction to pills. To their credit, Mike and Maria were very vocal about his struggles and Mike dealt with it successfully. He would then go on to get shredded as he seemed more motivated than ever.

With a family to feed, Kanellis knew it was time to make a change.
