Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods recently shocked the WWE Universe by kicking Big E out of The New Day. The tag team partners didn't even allow E to be their manager and accused him of deserting the faction for his comfortable new life. Interestingly, however, there is a chance that The New Day continues to operate as a trio and Omos is invited to be its third member.
The 7’3” giant made his WWE debut in 2019. While he has not been on TV for almost the entirety of 2024, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are aware of his power. Notably, Omos is a one-time Tag Team Champion alongside AJ Styles and the two won the titles by dethroning The New Day.
Thus, The Nigerian Giant makes a reliable choice for Kingston and Woods to include in their faction. Moreover, since Kofi is now in complete agreement with Woods’ mentality of focusing on championships, having the big man on the team would definitely help.
Big E was the muscle of the faction. On the other hand, Woods is its technician and Kingston is its highflyer. If Omos gets added to the ranks of The New Day, then they will have a more sturdy powerhouse on the team. Moreover, The Undertaker recently called the star a modern-day Andre The Giant.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
While this is a possible route to ensure Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods' success, this, however, is mere speculation as of now.
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods hated Big E for a long time
The 10th-anniversary celebration of The New Day made it seem like Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods’ anger towards Big E was reactionary. After all, the former WWE Champion said that he was sad watching them fight and offered to manage them after months of in-fighting between the group. However, the anger towards E wasn’t a reaction from The New Day.
Xavier Woods pointed out that Big E had become a burden to the group because every WWE venue they went to wanted him back. However, E never returned to the promotion to be with his brothers. Adding to this, Kofi Kingston said that he didn’t see the star's broken neck as reason enough for his absence. He even said that Hall of Famer like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, and Edge also had neck injuries, but they returned.
All of this shows that Woods and Kingston had been harboring ill will towards Big E for a very long time. As both superstars teased a united heel turn on RAW this week, it would be interesting to see what lies in the future of The New Day.
