#6. WWE United Kingdom Champion Ilja Dragunov

Ilja Dragunov kicked off his wrestling career nearly a decade ago. He competed in a few promotions before signing with WWE in January 2019. The Russian is one of the major attractions for the NXT UK brand.

Last year was one of the best years of Dragunov's in-ring career. In August, the 28-year-old captured his first championship in WWE when he defeated Gunther (FKA WALTER) at NXT TakeOver 36 to become the United Kingdom Champion.

In an interview set up by Centaur Marketing, Dragunov described defeating Gunther as one of the best moments of my life.

"I've been on such a painful path to get to this point, and to get to the point where I finally beat him, this was maybe one of the best moments of my life. It happened so fast. I remembered all of the things that I went through to get to this point, to finally being able to beat him. That was like something that changed me forever," he said.

Four months later, Dragunov had another memorable moment outside the squared circle. The NXT UK Champion got married on December 17, 2021.

The Russian posted a photo from his wedding on his social media accounts. However, Dragunov did not reveal any information about his spouse as he likes to keep his private life away from the public eye.
