Former WWE Superstars Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green started dating in 2017 after AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi set them up. At the time, Cardona was still working in Vince McMahon's company while his then-girlfriend competed in IMPACT Wrestling.

After dating for nearly two years, the couple announced their engagement. Cardona and Green then tied the knot on December 31, 2021. Several wrestlers attended their wedding, which took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, including WWE Superstars Dolph Ziggler, Maryse, and The Miz.

Cardona and Green are very open about their relationship. Over the past few weeks, the two wrestlers have shared several pictures and videos from their wedding.

A week after their ceremony, Cardona posted a photo with Green from their wedding on Instagram. He captioned it with an emotional message to his wife.

"Married this Hot Mess one week ago. New Years Eve…Wedding…Vegas…it was a night I can barely remember but I will never forget! I love you!" he wrote.

WWE released Cardona from his contract in April 2020 due to budget cuts. A year later, the company also let his wife go for the same reason. Since their release, the couple have competed in several promotions, including IMPACT Wrestling and GCW.
