#1 CM Punk

By the end of 2013, it was clear that CM Punk was completely burnt out with all things WWE related. Some will speculate that it was attributed to the on-off love-hate affair that he had with Mr. McMahon, while others simply suggest Punk was bored with the business.
Let's be honest, Punk had nothing left to prove and he had accomplished everything and more, that anyone could have ever predicted for his future. Maybe he was just ready for a new challenge. Well, that challenge came by way of Mickey Gall via a perfectly executed rear-naked chokehold at the two-minute mark, during their highly anticipated bout at UFC 203.

The fact of the matter is that MMA is a speciality sport, designed for a special type of people. Professional MMA is for someone who has spent their life honing their fighting skills, not necessarily for a fan of the sport, who happens to be a WWE Superstar. Simply put, CM Punk was nowhere near ready for the octagon.
At the end of the day, CM Punk is a showman. He is a brash, rude, unforgiving sports entertainer. There's nothing wrong with that.
In fact, we welcome that type of individual, and if the day would come where Phillip Brooks decides he wants to once again live at the top of the food chain in the world of professional wrestling, well, not only should the fans welcome him back, but any and everyone inside of WWE's headquarters should be happy to have him back as well.
