7 matches we all want to see now that Daniel Bryan is cleared to wrestle

Dan
Daniel Bryan will wrestle in WWE again!

WWE shocked the world when they announced via social media that Daniel Bryan had FINALLY been cleared to return to the ring two years after being forced to retire.

While it looks like we may be heading for Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon versus Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania, it's not yet known what kind of schedule Daniel Brian will undertake upon his return to the ring.

One thing is for sure, there are some dream matches we have to see, so without further ado, here's my top seven!

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#7 Finn Balor

Finn
Finn Balor vs Daniel Bryan would be incredible!

So, Finn Balor vs most technical wrestlers would be incredible, but against Daniel Bryan... Well, this would be something special.

Sadly the stars never aligned for these two to go head-to-head in a WWE ring, but they have shared the squared circle before - and even then, the chemistry was incredible!

That one was in front of maybe 50 people, there's no doubt the building would be much fuller for both men to square off in 2018.

#6 Ricochet

WW
WWE's new recruit would be great for Bryan

So, again, this would seemingly be another first time match, and much of the WWE loyal may not be too familiar with Ricochet's work - but that's all about to change.

Trevor Mann signed with WWE to kick off 2018 and his reputation definitely precedes him. Whether it's as Ricochet or Prince Puma, this man makes waves wherever he goes.

It remains to be seen whether Daniel Bryan will work the same still as he did before his retirement, but last night would indicate that he hasn't missed a beat. There is no doubt these two would put on a fast-paced, ferocious classic.

Here's hoping the stars align for this to happen in the future.

#5 Seth Rollins

The A
Could we see The Architect take on the SmackDown GM?

Okay, so this one has happened before in a WWE ring and, while their most recent encounter saw a fair bit of interference, the action was pretty incredible.

With Seth Rollins' incredible in-ring work and beautiful selling ability, he's another man who can put on an instant classic with almost everyone he goes up against. Now, Daniel Bryan isn't too dissimilar to Rollins in many regards. For good or for bad, both men leave it all in the ring and seemingly take pride in their work above all else, risking life and limb to put on the greatest match possible.

Would I love to see this match happen? YES!

#4 AJ Styles

T
This one would definitely be a dream match

While this match again hasn't happened in WWE with AJ Styles debuting less than a month before Daniel Bryan retired from in-ring competition, these men are no strangers to each other with both working the indie scene for years before debuting in WWE.

One thing is for sure, though, both men are completely different performers than they were the first time around.

A match between Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles would be nothing short of phenomenal. If you don't believe me, here's a snippet of what we could expect...

#3 Shinsuke Nakamura

The Kind
The King of Strong Style and Daniel Bryan have never met

Well, how can you mention AJ Styles without Shinsuke Nakamura. Both these men go head to head at WrestleMania 34 and I'm sure both men would be fighting for the number one spot on many people's list of dream opponents for Daniel Bryan.

Nakamura was one of the first men to react to the announcement that the former World Champion would be returning to the ring, and he made us all aware of a match we didn't even know we needed!

One thing is for sure, this would be a striking masterclass - and with the wonderfully aggressive kicks both men can distribute, these men could have a classic with their arms tied behind their back.

#2 Kurt Angle

Could the two
Could the two general managers settle their problems in the ring?

Well, wow. Who'd have thought this match could EVER be possible in a WWE ring a year ago.

In the space of the past six months, both Daniel Bryan and Kurt Angle have been cleared by WWE and, with both men in the GM role of the red and blue brand, this is practically on a plate for WWE.

There's no doubt Angle v Bryan could headline any PPV - and Kurt Angle has one in mind already...

Personally, I'm impatient. Raw vs SmackDown, Survivor Series. Book it!

#1 The Miz

Th
This one HAS to happen

Well, there was only ever going to be one man in the number one spot. This match could happen tomorrow and we wouldn't need to do anything to get there.

During his time on SmackDown Live, many people thought we were building to a Daniel Bryan return to give The Miz his comeuppance for calling the SmackDown General Manager a coward for not settling his scores in the ring after Bryan poked the sleeping bear that had lay dormant within The Miz on Talking Smack.

This one goes way back though, with these men having a history going right back to 2010.

Daniel Bryan was even attacked by The Miz, his then storyline mentor, on NXT before going 0-5 on wins and losses. Needless to say, the pair hasn't seen eye to eye since and we came full circle last year when The Miz cut the aforementioned promo on Talking Smack...

Needless to say, Miz was quick to take to social media to welcome his foe back to WWE. Let's see how this one plays out...
