#3 The return of CM Punk thanks to Paul Heyman
Okay, so this one is clearly on the outskirts of realism, but if people can convince themselves that CM Punk might show up for AEW's All Out show in August then I see no issue with me putting it on a list of things WWE 'could' do this year.
But, even though I cannot stress enough how unlikely this is, and how even I don't think this is remotely a possibility, let me present to you a fairly logical sounding argument for why it is an outside possibility.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
CM Punk is happy with MMA commentary, but he is a performer and clearly misses it, as evidenced by the revelation that he's been appearing for independent wrestling company's in masks for quite some time now since leaving WWE. He has also made appearances at Starrcast, the wrestling convention that accompanies AEW's big shows.
So, if Punk was going to officially return to the ring, he'd probably do so at AEW. But WWE has just appointed Paul Heyman as Executive Director of Monday Night RAW, someone who Punk likes and admires. There's a chance, a small chance but a chance nonetheless, that Paul Heyman's influence could sway Punk to get WWE one more try.
Who am I kidding it'll never happen. But if it did... Man, if it did.
