#3 Cody Rhodes (ROH/NJPW)
His father was a common man, his brother is a bizarre one and he....well, he is just a man who is finally finding his way in this insane world of professional wrestling.
Cody Rhodes shocked fans everywhere when he requested a release from his WWE contract in mid-2016. However, since leaving the company, Cody appears to have finally found his place in the business where he can perform at a high level and still enjoy entertaining his fans without feeling the pressure of the machine known as WWE.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Since leaving Vince and crew, Cody has gone on to win championships with GFW, as well as a couple of smaller independent promotions. The biggest win of his post-WWE career, which may very well be his biggest victory of his entire career, came on June 23 when he defeated Christopher Daniels at the ROH Best in the World pay-per-view to claim the Ring of Honor World Championship. As of this writing, Cody still holds the ROH title.
