As much as Seth Rollins is a celebrated pro wrestler, the fact of the matter is anyone who doesn't watch wrestling on a regular basis might not be familiar with his name at all.

Try going into a bus station or crowded bar and mentioning Seth Rollins. Unless you're in Northeast Iowa, you'll probably get quite a few confused stares. On the other hand, if you drop the name Brock Lesnar, just about everyone will recognize it.

There are monks cloistered away in monasteries on high mountain tops who recognize Brock Lesnar. His name recognition alone brings a lot of appeal to the WWE. People who are not dedicated wrestling fans might still pay to see an event where Brock Lesnar was scheduled to appear, just because of the novelty value of seeing someone so famous around the world.
