The women formerly known in WWE as Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were both released on April 15. Kay moved to SmackDown last October during the 2020 WWE Draft. Royce remained in a top-heavy division on RAW until her release. She was sparingly used following the Draft and cut a passionate promo before one of the last matches of her WWE career.

Royce is married to current AEW star Shawn Spears. While he hasn't had a huge amount of success in AEW, he is a part of one of the top factions in the promotion. The Pinnacle might have lost the Stadium Stampede match to the Inner Circle, but the group is clearly being primed for bigger things in the future.

The former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions could feasibly both join AEW. During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, they said that wherever they go next, it will be as a package deal. IMPACT has an established women's tag division while AEW does not.

Due to the need to improve the division, however, AEW could easily find a way to add both women to its roster. It could be as a part of the Pinnacle or separate from that faction. Whatever happens to the former IIconics, they could certainly show up at All Out in September.
