It will relieve Cesaro from his responsibilities as a mid-card champion and allow him to move up the card.

This is where things will start to get interesting for him. He can join the Blue Brand's team for WWE Survivor Series and lead his squad to victory. WWE RAW should destroy Team SmackDown, only to get defeated by Cesaro in the end.

After the Survivor Series event, Cesaro can finally set his sights on the WWE Universal Championship. The Universal Champion at this point should still be Roman Reigns, as he would be the best choice from a storyline perspective. However, instead of giving him a title shot, The Tribal Chief could deliver a brutal beatdown to The Swiss Superman. It would prove to be an easy way to write Cesaro off WWE SmackDown for a while.

In his absence, Roman Reigns can put down all the top babyfaces on SmackDown. He must become more and more ruthless after every title defense. By doing so, Reigns will become the biggest villain in Cesaro's journey to his first WWE world title.

Step 7: Cesaro wins the 2022 Royal Rumble match, dethrones Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 38

Cesaro vs. Reigns will be a blockbuster match

At the 2022 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Cesaro must finally make his anticipated WWE return. He can enter the Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant and outlast 29 other WWE Superstars to win the Rumble match. From here, Cesaro can resume his rivalry with Roman Reigns.

He could challenge The Tribal Chief for his Universal Championship at WrestleMania. During the build-up to their WrestleMania match, Cesaro might get involved in a heated war of words with Reigns. He could talk about WWE holding him back all these years and also brag about knocking Reigns off his pedestal. It will result in a hard-hitting bout between The Swiss Superman and The Head of the Table.

After a hard-fought battle, Cesaro must put Reigns down for good and capture his first WWE Universal Championship. As a result, one of the most emotional WrestleMania moments of all time that will permanently turn Cesaro into a WWE main-eventer.
