Roman Reigns came close to winning the Money in the Bank briefcase back in 2015

Continuing the comparison between Roman Reigns and his Shield brethren, while both Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins have won the Money in the Bank briefcase and successfully cashed it in, The Big Dog is yet to do that.

Roman Reigns has so far participated in only one conventional Money in the Bank ladder match for the coveted contract back in 2015. The match also featured eventual winner Sheamus, Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, Kane, and Kofi Kingston.

The Big Dog dominated the closing stages of the match and seemed poised to win the briefcase as well. That's when Bray Wyatt interfered and threw him off the ladder. The then Eater of Worlds ended Reigns' night by delivering a Sister Abigail.

That loss would come back to haunt Roman Reigns, as Sheamus would cash in the Money in the Bank contract at Survivor Series later that year to dethrone the newly crowned Reigns as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
