WrestleMania 36 was supposed to be The Miz & John Morrison vs The New Day vs The Usos, but The Miz pulling out of the match meant that it had to be restructured entirely, with it being changed to a triple threat singles match. John Morrison retained for the team and a rematch would take place on SmackDown, except the tag team partners who didn't wrestle at WrestleMania 36 participated instead.
Unfortunately, we felt this was the weakest part of the night despite a solid match. Big E pinned The Miz to win the titles, making The New Day 8-time Tag Team Champions. They're among the most decorated tag teams of all time, but the problem we had was that the title change felt all too random.

There was no reason for the change not to happen at WrestleMania, but perhaps WWE just needed a main event to fill the top spot on the card. We wonder what's next for The New Day, but we imagine that The Usos and Miz & Morrison will be on their tails.
