Punk’s forgettable encounter with the fans happened back in 2012 when he was the reigning WWE champion. Punk, who played a heel character at the time, was having a lot of heat from the fans and one of them decided that it was wise to shove the champion who was running away from Ryback.
Once Punk received two shots from the fans, one in his kidney area and one to the back of his head, he reacted. Punk turned around and jabbed a fan that he saw in front of him. It was apparently not the same person that bothered him in the first place and it all turned out to be an incident that Punk would love to forget.
