Sheamus has tried on multiple occasions to win the Intercontinental Championship.
Sheamus needs no introduction whatsoever. He became the first Irish-born WWE Champion by dethroning John Cena, merely months after his WWE main roster debut. Unlike others on this list, Sheamus has been featured prominently both in the main event as well as the mid-card scene throughout his career. He has competed both as a singles as well as a tag team player.

He has reigned as the World and Tag Team Champion on various occasions. He has also won the United States Championship. To add icing to the top, he has won Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank and the King of the Ring tournament as well. So, saying that Sheamus has had a decorated career as a WWE Superstar would be an understatement.
The only thing he has yet to win (and to complete his Grand Slam) is the Intercontinental Championship. The Celtic Warrior has acknowledged this missing accomplishment as well. With injuries now nagging him more than ever, it is the right time for Sheamus to win the IC Title and become a Grand Slam Champion.

Ali Siddiqui
Ali Siddiqui is a listicle and feature writer for Sportskeeda Wrestling since 2018. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he decided to write for Sportskeeda Wrestling after learning about it through a friend. He briefly worked for The Sportster as well.
Ali's love for pro wrestling dates back to when Randy Orton won a Battle Royal to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2004. His current favorite wrestler is Cody Rhodes because he's the ultimate throwback babyface. He believes Rhodes has the Surfer Sting's passion, Bret Hart's prop-gifting schtick, a catchy theme like Hogan's, and a kid-friendly demeanor akin to John Cena's.
When he is not doing research for his articles on Google or catching up with the latest in pro wrestling, Ali can be found honing his Data Science and AI skills as he strives to get back into tech in the near future.
