#3 WWE break up The Lucha House Party

Did the Lucha House Party split up? The storyline was never resolved.

For the best part of two and a half years, WWE Superstars Kalisto, Gran Metalik, and Lince Dorado formed the Lucha House Party. However, after Kalisto sustained a shoulder injury and disappeared from screens at the start of 2020, it was down to Metalik and Dorado to represent the whole team in WWE.

Both Metalik and Dorado seemed to prove their value, with an impressive performance competing for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Metalik also earned a WWE Intercontinental Championship opportunity against AJ Styles.

When Kalisto returned on the 14th August 2020 episode of WWE SmackDown and distracted Shinsuke Nakamura to help Metalik score a shocking win, it appeared that the trio was now going to be stronger than ever.

However, this reunion was short-lived. They failed to win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships from Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro on two different occasions, including at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view.

By the time this match ended, Kalisto and Lince Dorado were evidently not on the same page after the Lucha House Party’s continuous losses, which led to them bickering and pushing each other.

This all looked like this would lead to a storyline covering the demise of the Lucha House Party, but that never happened. Less than two weeks later, the team inadvertently split up in the WWE Draft when Kalisto remained on SmackDown while Metalik and Dorado were drafted to RAW.

Nevertheless, considering the trio were together for over two and a half years, and there was clearly some friction between Dorado and Kalisto, it left some unanswered questions in this storyline.

Was the faction officially split up? Did Kalisto and Dorado patch up their differences before they went their separate ways? What was the point of them arguing if they were never going to wrestle each other to settle their differences?
