On July 29, 2019, Mike Kanellis successfully pinned the WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth to win the title. He ran away from the ring because several Superstars were chasing him

As Kanellis locked himself inside the WWE officials' locker room, his pregnant wife Maria played sick. She convinced the wrestlers waiting for her husband outside the room to leave. Maria insisted she had to see her husband, so they decided to clear the place.

Maria ordered her husband to let her in, which he reluctantly did. He told her that he won the championship for them. But she answered by instructing him to lay down on his back. She then called for a referee to come over, and she pinned her husband by putting her leg on his chest.

Maria celebrated being the first-ever pregnant champion in WWE history. (In 2020, Becky Lynch went on to become the second.) She then teased Titus O'Neil, the first-ever 24/7 Champion, and dared him to wrestle her. But he did not respond until she walked away.

The former WWE superstar lost her title to her husband a week later when he pinned her while on the examination table during her OB-GYN appointment.
